Emergency cPanel Host Node Migration

Monday, November 13, 2017

In the past few weeks we have noted several abnormalities with our current master cpanel hosting system; resulting in delays in resolving domains and apache issues outage issues along with a couple of other minor bugs.

As VAU Networks prefers to be proactive rather than reactive. We have immediately spun into action and developed a brand new cPanel Host node on updated core softwares and firmwares. This is now ready to take pride of place, however we will have to move the ip ranges over to the new server and ensure in realtime that all sites and services are functioning as they should once the ip's have been moved.

What does this mean for me?

You may notice that during this migration your website / email / ftp / ssl may be incorrectly directing or non connectable; we assure you the majority of the configurations have already been painstakingly completed behind the scenes and anticipate no longer than a 30 minute window for post configuration issues and developments.

We are racing against the clock so as to not have to chase our tails and need to conduct this migration as soon as possible as emails are coming in to your accounts and changes are being made to your websites and databases almost on the minute. Due to these it can take 9 hours to manually migrate information across again and we would be in a vicious circle if we were not to act quickly.

We will keep the reserve cpanel node active for 7 days after the migration in case of any missing components from your account so please do be sure to check your accounts once the migration is complete and inform VAU Support should anything not be working correctly or missing. Failure to contact us with reference to any missing data after the 7 days will be irretrievable

During this time VAU Live chat and the billing portal will be unavailable as its currently on the Hosting node but you can still reach us via our support numbers: UK: 0203 519 0153 or USA: 1.567.244.5288

The migration of this hosting node will occur at 19:30 GMT tonight 13th November 2017 and shouldnt take any longer than 30 minutes to complete, however we must give an operational window of 4 hours to iron out any bugs in the system.

Should you have any questions or concerns please do let us know.
